Hybrid Technology Research and Development Laboratory opened on Monday, December 6 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

“Our goal is to conduct research into the development of a new generation of off-road vehicles that are remotely and autonomously controlled,” says Darius Antanaitis, CEO of Ostara LLC. According to him, the main tasks of the laboratory are to develop hybrid technologies for the Krampus project, adapt them to the new generation of vehicles and the development of alternative energy sources, to strive for efficient use and reduction of fossil fuel use.

OSTARA LLC has been developing a prototype of the hybrid all-terrain vehicle Krampus, adapted for special tasks. The Krampus and its technologies are expected to be used in the future for border security, nature conservation, illegal migration control and other similar tasks requiring high passage and quiet operation.

“The new facilities and equipment will give our engineering team better opportunities to research and develop hybrid technologies, as well as develop new products. We believe that the newly developed products will help the users of the technologies we are developing to solve the insurmountable challenges so far, ”says Raimundas Junevičius, the company’s chief engineer.
